The Lost iPhone

I found this article on this creepy phone filled with horrific photos. This is an article by Rona Vaselaar and it was so creepy that I just had to share it. It is best to keep in mind that this isn't a true story and is for entertainment purposes only ThoughtCatalog.com, and it is not an actual Urban Legend. However, it will make you think twice about what is truly hidden inside a lost phone and the impact it may have on you. Enjoy.

It was sitting beside the curb outside my apartment. A white iPhone 4S in surprisingly good condition. I scooped it up from the ground to get a closer look. It probably belonged to a high school girl, judging by the horrendously glittering purple case. I admired the phone anyway – tacky though the case was, it had protected its charge fairly well. The phone had not only survived what I assumed was a fall from a careless girl’s book bag, but it was in pristine condition. No hairline cracks, no dings, no dents… nothing.

Username Warning

One day, a boy was surfing the internet and found a site that let you read scary stories. He wanted to leave a comment, so he registered with the username, Devil666. Instantly, his inbox was flooded with private messages saying things like "We love you, Satan!" and "All hail the dark Lord!" It freaked him out so much that he turned off his computer and unplugged his internet.

The next day, a group of Satanists stormed his house and bowed before the boy, worshipping him. Later, they killed his parents and took over the house. They drank, smoked, and ate everything in the house. That night, they put on black robes and recited prayers backwards. The boy grew horns, pointy ears, and a barbed tail. He also began to smell of sulfer.

Easy A

There is a rumor among college students. It is how to get a 4.0 GPA, which seems to be getting harder and harder every year.

So far, any instance of this actually happening hasn't been found, but one never really knows. It does depend on the school and the teacher.

Lotus Pond

There was this couple who planned on running away together. Their current situation prevented their love from growing. They agreed to meet at the lotus pond at 10 PM that night so they could leave and live happily together.

The woman arrived on time and waited for a couple hours. Thinking her lover had forgotten or decided to not be with her anymore, she plunged herself into the lake, killing herself by drowning. She died at midnight.

Lemp Mansion, St. Louis, MO

This hanging is close to home for this blogger. A mere 182.5 miles from my hometown resides the Lemp Mansion and Brewery. It is considered one of the most haunted places in America.

This mansion is now a restaurant, but it is home to some terrifying secrets. The original owners, the Lemps of Lemp Brewery, had three generations commit suicide, three people in the house and one outside. The brewery is also haunted as it is connected to the house via a series of tunnels.

Riviotisa

Ioannis Koukoutsis is said to walk on the cemetery grounds after midnight. He was a butcher by trade. He had a wife and daughter who loved him dearly.

Legend has it that he went crazy one night after work. Carrying a sharp butcher knife, he went home. Once home, he went up to his bedroom, where his wife was sleeping on the left side of the bed.

The Blue Ghost Tunnel

This tunnel is officially named the Merritton Tunnel, but everyone calls it the Blue Ghost Tunnel for one of the apparitions that lives inside.

Construction of the tunnel was completed in 1876 and used full-time until 1887, when it was only used part time. In 1915, the tunnel was shut down. Why? Well, for the numerous strange and tragic things that happened during the 39 years it was in use.

Redang Island

While this story takes place in Malaysia, it is actually a French story. That is why it only has France as it's country tag.

A group of six friends (three boys and three girls) decide to go on a Malaysian vacation. It was their first trip as boyfriends and girlfriends. They had a layover in Singapore, so from there, they went to the Redang Island (Malaysian: Pulua Redang). From the airport, they went to their hotel and unpacked.

Poveglia

Near beautiful and romantic Venice, Italy, there is an island. The shores of this island are strewn with polished human bones. It is reported to be so frightening that torrests aren't allowed to set foot on the island.

In 1576, Venice was in the midst of the plague. The streets were lined with rotting corpses. The stench was growing worse by the day. Something had to be done. The bodies were gathered and sent to Proveglia, where they were either thrown into pits or burned.

New Year Massacre

On December 31st, a family was preparing for their annual New Years Eve Party. The father was in the lounge ironing clothes, the mother was in the kitchen cutting sausage and cabbage, and their son was running around with scissors and getting in everyone's way.

Suddenly, the boy ran into his mother. The scissors cut the back of her leg. The mother fell backwards and lost her grip on the knife. The boy was right beneath her. The knife fell into his chest and pierced his heart.He died instantly. The mother screamed.

Charlotte

Charlotte was said to be a prostitute. She fell in love with a soldier. But that is where the happiness ends. In Room 10, she was taken from the world of the living and entered limbo.

One version says she got a letter saying her lover had died in combat. She threw herself out the window and died from her injuries. Another says she was with a client, but he refused to pay, he beat her to death, and threw her out the window.

El Naddaha

El Naddaha is a sea nymph like genie. Her name means "the caller" in Arabic, making her akin to the sirens of Greece. Many people in rural Egypt, and some in other cities, still believe in her to this day.

She is said to be tall and beautiful, with long black hair flowing down her back. She wears long transparent dresses and lives in the Nile Delta. At night, particularly nights of the full moon, she comes out of her watery den and sits on the shore, waiting for a young man to walk buy. She usually goes for men traveling alone, though she can appear to a group but only picks one of them.

She calls their name and hypnotizes them. They follow her to the river where they swim to their deaths or drown in the cold water. The next day, she does it all over again. If you were to stop the man "called" by El Naddaha, you would become cursed. Your life would become a living hell until you are finally driven to suicide.

In rural Egypt, she will call to men in their homes. They become called "the kidnapped by the caller". They say her call is loud and clear with a sad, melodic tone to it. It takes three days for the call to take effect. The "kidnapped" will spend this time in a semi-catatonic state before finally running away with El Naddaha.

She has been known to fall in love with her pray on rare occasions. When this does happen, she will take him to her watery den where they make love for months on end. However, she eventually kills him in the fear he might escape. She buries his bones in her cavern. The next day, she returns to the bank to hunt again.

Those who have encountered El Naddaha said that they ran away before getting a good look at her face. None dared look her in the eye. If they had, they wouldn't have been alive to tell their stories.

Grey Lady of Cambridge Military Hospital

The ghost of a nurse is said to roam the halls of this now abandoned hospital. It is said that, in life, she had accidentally overdosed a patient, who later died.

She killed herself due to the grief this caused her. It is said that she was a sister nurse in aiding the healing of wounded soldiers. Now, she is a ghost.

Room 202, Fort Garry

The Fort Garry Hotel is known for Room 202. Many years ago, a woman was said to have committed suicide in the closet after hearing of her husband's fatel car accident.

Employees have said that they sometimes see blood dripping down the walls. Guests have reported seeing a woman in a cloak at the foot of their bed in Room 202. In 2004, former Ontario Libral MP, Barbara Chamberlain, staid in the room and said that someone was getting into her bed twice.

Single Braid

There is a road near the Chinese University of Hong Kong. It is called Single Braid Road. A horrible tragedy is said to have happened on this road.

A girl wearing a single long black braid. She was an illegal immigrant and he was traveling with her boyfriend. They were on the train going by the university.

Hanako-san of the Toilet

Hanako-san is a famous, test of courage, hope you don't really have to pee type ghost. Supposedly, Hanako-san began haunting the third stall of the third floor girl's bathroom in the 1950s. At the time, Hanako was a famous name to give young girls. She is supposed to be a WWII era girl. Her stall always has a crude "Out of Order" sign hanging from it. Even if the toilet works, the sign appears there.

How this poor ghost came to be varies. One person will say she was killed in when the area next to her school was bombed and the building collapsed while she was playing hide and seek with friends. Another person will say he was a victim of bullying and committed suicide in the third stall of the girls bathroom on the third floor. And a third person will say she fell from a window, supposedly on accident,but you never know.

Hikiko-san

Everywhere you look now a days, you will see a sign against bullying and abuse. This is a good thing. We don't need another Hikiko-san roaming the world. Bullying and abuse are bad enough without that.

Hikiko-san is a young girl. She gets beaten by her parents at home, causing her to be slightly deformed. This deformity causes Hikiko-san to be bullied by her classmates. One day, it all became too much for her and she committed suicide, though some say she was killed by her father. Either way, the girl comes back as a human hating spirit.
