Devil's Bridge, Aberystwyth, North Wales

Not the real bridge
An old woman decided to make a contract with the Devil himself ond day in early winter. Upset that her cattle were stranded across the gorge, the Devil came to her and offered his help.

The Devil said, "Return here the next morning and bridge will be built. However, I then get to claim the life and soul of the first living thing to cross it."

Gwyllgi


The translation means "devil dog" or "dog of darkness". This is a creature that stalks the Welsh country side at night. It is a type of Hellhound.

In the Welsh stories, the Gwyllgi is the devil himself, chasing his victims. Those who escaped must be Olympic runners, because who else could out run the devil?

Grey Lady of Cambridge Military Hospital


The ghost of a nurse is said to roam the halls of this now abandoned hospital. It is said that, in life, she had accidentally overdosed a patient, who later died.

She killed herself due to the grief this caused her. It is said that she was a sister nurse in aiding the healing of wounded soldiers. Now, she is a ghost.
